What this qualification typically covers

NZRA (formerly NZ Rafting Association, established 1996) is WorkSafe-recognised as the industry leadership / technical-lead body for commercial rafting. The framework covers Grade 2 guides through Senior Grade 4/5 guides, mandatory annual river-rescue workshops, and a guide registry. Commercial rafting is regulated under the Health and Safety at Work (Adventure Activities) Regulations 2016. The NZQA Rafting domain contains 41 unit standards (Levels 2–6) underpinning the framework.
